چکیده
Occupational exposure to oil fumes, organophosphates, halogenated flame retardants, and other volatile semi-volatile contaminants is a concern within the aviation industry. There no current consensus on risk attributed these chemical classes aircraft cabin. Contaminant concentrations rarely exceed conventional air quality guidelines, but concerns have been raised about guidelines' applicability environment. This systematic review, largest most comprehensive completed date subject matter, aims synthesize existing research related exposures inside cabin determine occupational that may be said exposure, as well as, knowledge gaps in source, pathway, receptor exist. The Science Direct, Scopus, Web of databases were queried with five search terms generating 138 manuscripts met acceptance criteria screening. Several potential areas requiring future examination identified: Potable water should examined source pollutant conditioning expansion turbines. Historical also more fully explored, non-targeted analysis could provide valuable information comprehend exposome. under typical flight scenarios appears limited for healthy individuals. Contaminants demonstrated extant cabin, however normal circumstances do not appear individually responsible symptomologies are present impacted Questions remain regarding those vulnerable or susceptible exposure. Additionally, establishing effects chronic low dose contaminant mixtures has satisfied. acute mitigable fume events substantial, technological solutions replacement compounds safer alternatives priority.
